Sound Page"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Sound Page in FluidChords2 lets you shape, blend, and control the character of your chords and melodies using two fully independent<br \/>\nsound layers\u2014Sound A and Sound B.<\/p>\n<p>Each layer supports internal engines or external plugins, giving you full freedom over your sonic palette.<\/p>\n<p><img class=\"aligncenter wp-image-3245\" data-original=\"https:\/\/pitchinnovations.com\/learn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/SOUND-PAGE-2.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"768\" height=\"428\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong> Master Sound Preset<\/strong><br \/>\n\u25cf Save and load full sound configurations across both Sound A and B.<br \/>\n\u25cf Use the Lock button to keep the current sound intact when switching plugin Master Presets\u2014ideal for experimenting with chords and<br \/>\nbends while keeping your sound design untouched.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sound Engines (Available per Layer)<\/strong><br \/>\nEach layer can load one of the following engines:<br \/>\n\u25cf Internal Synth<br \/>\n\u25cf Internal Sampler<br \/>\n\u25cf Plugin Host (MPE-compatible instrument)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Internal Wavetable Synth<\/strong><br \/>\n\u25cf Comes with a built-in preset browser.<br \/>\n\u25cf Includes a wavetable visualizer.<br \/>\n\u25cf Features Filter and ADSR envelope for tonal shaping.<br \/>\n\u25cf Supports Macros for assigning key synth parameters for live or automated control.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Internal Sampler<\/strong><br \/>\n\u25cf A multi-sample MPE-compatible engine.<br \/>\n\u25cf Includes a waveform visualizer.<br \/>\n\u25cf Now also features a filter and ADSR envelope, just like the internal synth.<br \/>\n\u25cf Does not include macros.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Plugin Host<\/strong><br \/>\n\u25cf Scan for MPE-compatible VST\/AU using the Fluid Chords 2 Plugin Scanner. More about it below.<br \/>\n\u25cf Load your favorite MPE-compatible VST\/AU instruments.<br \/>\n\u25cf Preset and parameter control depends on the hosted plugin.<br \/>\n\u25cf Still supports core controls like Tune, Gain, Pan, and Play Modes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Important:<\/strong> When using external instruments in the plugin host, make sure to enable MPE inside the hosted plugin itself. Also, ensure the MPE pitch bend range is correctly set to match the plugin&#8217;s capabilities. The default range is 48 semitones. If your plugin supports a lower range (e.g., 24), you can adjust it under Fluid Chords 2 Settings to match the plugin\u2019s supported range.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sound Layer Controls (Common to A &amp; B)<\/strong><br \/>\nEach sound layer comes with a consistent set of controls and features at the top:<br \/>\n\u25cf Enable\/Disable Toggle: Quickly turn Sound A or B on or off.<br \/>\n\u25cf Mute: Silences the selected sound without disabling it.<br \/>\n\u25cf Solo: Mutes the other sound so you can isolate the one you&#8217;re working on.<br \/>\n\u25cf Tune: Transpose the sound in semitones.<br \/>\n\u25cf Gain: Adjust the volume of the sound.<br \/>\n\u25cf Pan: Position the sound in the stereo field.<br \/>\n\u25cf Play Mode:Choose how the sound responds to chords:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">\u25cb All (Default): Plays all notes in the chord.<br \/>\n\u25cb High: Plays only the highest note in the chord.<br \/>\n\u25cb Low: Plays only the lowest note in the chord.<\/p>\n<p>These controls help you shape each layer&#8217;s role\u2014whether it&#8217;s handling full chords, just the bass, or the top melody.<\/p>\n<p><strong>FX Section (Per Layer)<\/strong><br \/>\nEach sound layer includes its own FX panel:<br \/>\n\u25cf Delay \u2013 Add rhythmic space<br \/>\nReverb \u2013 Add depth and ambience<br \/>\nThese are fully independent for Sound A and Sound B, giving you precise control over each layer\u2019s spatial character.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Blend (Crossfader)<\/strong><br \/>\nThe Blend knob in the center mixes Sound A and Sound B:<br \/>\n\u25cf Turn toward Sound A to emphasize that layer<br \/>\n\u25cf Toward Sound B for more of the second layer<br \/>\n\u25cf Keep it centered to balance both<\/p>\n<p><strong>Split &amp; Play Mode<\/strong><br \/>\n\u25cf Enable this option to split the role of each sound:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">\u25cb Sound A: Continues to respond to chord triggers<br \/>\n\u25cb Sound B: Bypasses the chord system and plays melodically<\/p>\n<p>This setup is perfect for playing chords with your left hand while improvising melodies with your right, all within the same<br \/>\nplugin.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Master Section<\/strong><br \/>\nThis section processes the final output from both sound layers:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Master Volume:<\/strong><br \/>\nControls the overall plugin output level.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pumper:<\/strong><br \/>\n\u25cf A single-knob rhythmic pumping effect<br \/>\n\u25cf Adjust the mix amount quickly<br \/>\n\u25cf Click to open the detailed Pumper window<br \/>\n\u25cf Includes built-in Pumper presets for fast creative results<\/p>\n<p><strong>Compressor:<\/strong><br \/>\n\u25cf A simple mastering compressor<br \/>\n\u25cf Click to open a dedicated Compressor window with full controls<br \/>\n\u25cf Helps shape and tighten the output before leaving the plugin<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Sound Page in FluidChords2 lets you shape, blend, and control the character of your chords and melodies using two fully independent sound layers\u2014Sound A and Sound B.
