Fluid Chords uses MPE technology to deliver chord bending and hence, capable of hosting third-party MPE synths within the plugin. Before loading the synths, they need to get scanned using the plugin scanner.
Note – Plugin Scanning is a one time setup.
5.1 Plugin Scanner – Scanning Plugins
To scan existing MPE plugins in your computer, open the dropdown in the “Synth” menu and select “Open Plugin Scanner” which will prompt which folders you want to scan for the synths. If you are using a custom folder to install the plugins, you can select it here or you can select “Scan”.
Now, the scanner will automatically find and enable all the MPE compatible plugins in your system. On completion, a “Scan Complete” dialog box will be shown. Click “Ok” to view the list of available plugins.
5.2 Plugin Scanner – Custom Folders
Note – If you want to manually add any plugins, you can do so by choosing “Options..” -> “Scan for a custom plug-in” and select the plug-in you want to scan. You can also drag and drop the VST or component file into the plugin scanner.
While scanning, if any of the plugins do not get enabled properly or crash, they will be added to the black list automatically. In order to rescan those blacklisted plugins, the black list needs to be cleared by choosing “Options…” -> “Reset Plugin Blacklist”.
The new plugins enabled by the plugin scanner will be accessible inside Fluid Chord’s “SYNTH” menu.
